The Volkswagen Taos is named after a popular ski town in New Mexico – famous for its wildly diverse landscapes, including snow-capped mountains and vast, untamed deserts – making it the ideal inspiration and namesake for our fun-loving, adventurous SUV.
Yes, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard in the Taos.
The Taos is designed to comfortably seat up to 5 passengers, with 2 seats in the front and 3 in the rear. Better still, the Taos offers two-tone interior seats and heated front seats as standard on all trims.
The Taos is available with 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive as an option. You’ll get the fun drive you crave with the 1.5L engine, while this AWD version of Taos also includes our DSG® dual clutch transmission for lightning-fast responses from the gearbox.
The Taos comes standard with 17” “Lupin” alloy wheels (8-speed FWD) or 18” “Kentucky” alloy wheels (7-speed DSG® 4MOTION® Trendline trim). Additional available wheels include 18” “Fiji” alloy wheels (standard on Comfortline and Highline trims) and 19” “Plus” alloy wheels.
The available Black Edition lives up to its name with 19” Plus Black wheels, roof rails, window surrounds, and exterior mirror housings—all in black. This trim also includes illuminated exterior design elements, customizable interior ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, black decorative inserts, and more.
